Our Christmas Stroll Plans

Christmas Stroll plans are in motion at Gardner & Billing! We'll have door prizes for the Powder River Chamber of Commerce & Ag Button Dash - make sure to buy your buttons while supply lasts! We're also continuing our tradition of the Christmas Wreath Silent Auction to benefit a local charity. So, from 2:00 - 6:30 on November 30th stop by our office to bid on the wreath, check your button dash number, and enjoy some treats, drinks and a kid friendly craft. Best of all, you'll be able to meet Charlie Brown and some of the characters from Peanuts! Don't be a "blockhead" and miss this Charlie Brown Christmas Stroll!

IRS: Drought-stricken farmers, ranchers have more time to replace livestock WASHINGTON − Farmers and ranchers who were forced to sell livestock due to drought may have an additional year to replace the livestock and defer tax on any gains from the forced sales, according to the Internal Revenue Service. To qualify for relief, the farm or ranch must be in an applicable region. This is a county or other jurisdiction designated as eligible for federal assistance plus counties contiguous to it. Notice 2020-74 , posted today on IRS.gov, lists applicable regions in 46 states, the District of Columbia and four U.S. territories.  For Montana, the designated counties are Beaverhead, Broadwater, Gallatin, Jefferson, Madison and Powder River. The relief generally applies to capital gains realized by eligible farmers and ranchers on sales of livestock held for draft, dairy or breeding purposes. It's almost October...

September is coming quickly to a close, and for us that means 2016 tax extension deadlines are on the immediate horizon.  Form 1041 for Trusts and Estates is due October 2nd and Form 1040 for Individuals and Form 1120 for Corporations are due October 16th.  If we haven't seen your complete tax information yet, please round it up now.  We're working hard to get our last returns out the door!   Thank you for your business!
